LF Influence Day 8:
D’Angelo’s “Untitled” video is easily one of the best music videos ever made. I’m trying to imagine somebody pitching the concept — “It’s just gonna be slow shots of D’Angelo with his shirt off.” THAT’S IT. Possibly the simplest music video ever, and one of the most brilliant. Much like “Single Ladies,” it’s a consistent reference point for me when coming up with video concepts.
